Broker & Real Estate Agent Policy

When working with a real estate agent or broker (collectively referred to as “broker”) to purchase a new home at Fairwoods at Furman, homebuyers and brokers should be aware that commissions are not automatically offered on every home. Homebuyers are welcome to work with their own real estate broker during the purchase process; however, in order for a broker to be eligible to receive a commission, the following policy must be followed.

For homes where a broker co-op commission is offered, the homebuyer must identify their broker at the initial point of contact with Fairwoods at Furman. If the initial contact is made online, the buyer must include their broker information on the intake form.

Additionally, the homebuyer must be accompanied by their broker on their first visit to the community, whether that visit is conducted in person or virtually. If, for any reason, the homebuyer does not identify their broker during their initial contact, the broker will not be entitled to receive a commission on any home purchased by that buyer within Fairwoods at Furman.

Please ensure that your broker is disclosed at the initial point of contact if you choose to work with one when purchasing a home in our community. Broker co-op commissions are available only on select homes, and this policy must be followed in full for a broker to be eligible for any commission paid by Fairwoods at Furman.

Fairwoods at Furman reserves the right to amend or modify this policy at any time without prior notice.
